pretty paintings
Feathers, Print from an original ink drawing, ink on sugar cane paper available through Groundwork on Etsy
I can't get enough of pretty paintings lately. Watercolor, gouache, acrylic. I love them all and the creamier the texture, the better. I love the colors that Danna Ray uses in her beautiful pieces: cool, dark, dreamy. Somehow her choice of color adds to the mysterious undertones of her work. A little bit whimsy mixed with sweetness and light, her paintings evoke sighs from me as I linger over each one. Take a look....

Thanks so much Danna!

Ahhh, I'm pretty much always wishing I were that girl with a book. Lovely images.
the first one with the feathers is my favorite... and the girl reading in the woods is a close second. :)
Yeah, that's a tough one. I love them both too! However, I would like all of them really. :)
