a moody rug?

I saw this rug over at Art at Heart and it just made me smile a bit. Funny that with just a flip, its mood completely changes. I sometimes wish I could just turn it around like that. Though I have a feeling my expressions would be a tad more colorful and perhaps not appropriate for display. :)

surface studies: painted floors

The look of white painted floors is fresh, serene and airy. I love how bright and spacious they make spaces feel. Now since I'm a designer that loves a multitude of looks, I also love me some bold painted floors with color and pattern like these below...
