my new addiction

I have never been the workout type. I much prefer lounging and imbibing on the "good" stuff.  I had never found joy through or connected with other types of exercise. I mean running, walking, the gym...no way.  A couple of my friends encouraged me to start practicing yoga and so I tentatively accepted.  Low and behold, for about a month now I have been practicing every day, sometimes twice a day because I absolutely can not get enough.  It seems that the key was to find something that felt right and yoga just does.  I can sense small changes taking place in me, both physical and emotional and now I find I can't and don't want to stop.  Yeah, I know I sound all kum ba yah but that's ok.   I mentioned last week that I was going through a transformation but I hesitated to share.  However, my blog is supposed to be about celebrating the inspired life so I'm going to do that and share my new inspiration and progress with you.  I have lots of reasons for my new yoga practice.  Among them are a) get stronger, b) be more accepting while letting go of things that don't benefit my life and c) get in the best shape of my life as I prepare to start a family with my hubs.

I'm looking forward to the process and sharing if you'll let me. :) See you in a bit for the "meet and greet"!

I browse your blog from time to time for work and when I came to it today, was delighted to read what you wrote. Over the past month or so I have started to work towards becoming a better me. Part of that includes starting to eat right and dance but I have just started to look to yoga to add into the mix. I just find the timing of your blog to be encouraging. Good luck with your journey.

Yeah for yoga! So happy you have found this. I'm in a huge fitness slump. I keep thinking about yoga. Maybe you will motivate me to get back to it.

I've always loved all sports (well not golf) and I've always encouraged people to try different types to find the type that suits them and which they enjoy - because excercising gives you strength - inside and out. So I'm glad to hear that you've found your thing! I'll eagerly follow your journey =)

I love yoga! I have never practice the spiritual side of it but it is amazing as workout and kids love it... or at least, mine does!

Happy week!

That is what I said about running, walking, weight lifting etceteras...but look at me now....running and spinning for an hour a day 6 days a week...can't get enough. I am addicted to the adrenaline rush I feel right after the intense sweating. GOT TO HAVE IT!
